چکیده

1. Introduction Mesoporous UL-ZSM-5 materials have zeolitic structure in the form of nano-particles inter-grown in the walls of the amorphous wormhole-like aluminosilicate mesoporous precursor, and were shown to exhibit an intermediate acidity between the parent mesoporous precursor and ZSM-5 zeolite [1,2]. These materials combine the advantages of both, i.e., microporous crystalline zeolites (strong acidity and good thermal/hydrothermal stability), and mesoporous materials, e.g., highly ordered large pores and high specific surface areas. They have been considered to have a great potential for applications in catalysis and adsorption technologies, particularly as acid catalysts for bulky hydrocarbons conversion [3].

Strategies to Enhance the Catalytic Performance of ZSM-5 Zeolite in Hydrocarbon Cracking: A Review

ZSM-5 zeolite is widely used in catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon, but the conventional ZSM-5 zeolite deactivates quickly due to its simple microporous and long diffusion pathway. Many studies have been done to overcome these disadvantages recently. In this review, four main approaches for enhancing the catalytic performance, namely synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite with special morphology, hierarchic...

Methanol-to-Hydrocarbons Product Distribution over SAPO-34 and ZSM-5 Catalysts: The applicability of Thermodynamic Equilibrium and Anderson-Schulz-Flory Distribution

The product distribution of methanol to hydrocarbons conversion over SAPO-34 and ZSM-5 catalysts was studied using thermodynamic equilibrium and Anderson-Schulz-Flory (ASF) distributions. The equilibrium compositions were calculated using constrained Gibbs free energy minimization. The effect of catalyst type was considered by setting upper limits to product carbon number due to sh...

Evaluation of Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Polypropylene Modified with Nanostructured ZSM-5 Zeolite

Polypropylene (PP) has been one of the most widely used polymers due to the versatility and cost benefits obtained with this material. In this work, composites of PP modified with nanostructured ZSM-5 zeolite were prepared and their thermal and mechanical properties were evaluated. Zeolites were synthetized by hydrothermal method and the crystallization time was modified to evaluate the effect ...

ZSM-5 Zeolite As Host Material for Semiconductor Nanoparticles

This work describes the optical and structure properties of nickel sulfide and cobalt sulfide nanoparticles in ZSM-5 zeolite. The samples were obtained by sulfidation of the Ni2+ and Co2+ ion-exchange ZSM-5 zeolites in a Na2S solution at room temperature. The optical properties of the samples were studied by UV-visible spectroscopy. Their crystalline structure and morphology were studied by X-r...

Temperature Effect on Swelling Properties of Commercial Polyacrylic Acid Hydrogel Beads

Due to the fact that many application processes take place at different temperature, better examining and understanding of swelling properties as a function of temperature is essential for such application. The temperature effect on the swelling properties of commercial polyacrylic acid (PAA) hydrogel beads was investigated as a function of time and temperature. Gel bead size, swelling equilibr...
